To be honest, the permanently wired leads that's on our gear tends to not display as well on a board as your gear with the terminals. This is especially true if you have a multi tap ballast which will have unused leads coming out from the ballast core.

I've made a few ballast boxes in the past. The older ones has a line cord and the appropriate lampholder fitted to the case. The newer ones have a line cord and a receptacle used to remote ballast a light. Just make sure no one else will monkey around with them or they'd be in for a surprise if they tried to plug a phone charger into the ballast output receptacle.  ::)

I regularly use a remote ballast box that I made for 70W MH. I also use a remote ignitor. To prevent plugging in inappropriate things, I used a Hydrofarm extension cord, cut in two pieces. The plug has 3 round pins instead of two blades and one pin. These connectors are usually made for HID grow lights in the horticulture industry.

The remote ballast that I use outdoors has no lamp side plug. I wire it directly, and some day I will get crimp on plugs for the individual wires. I rarely disconnect it, though. On that one, I solved the ignitor problem by using a mercury lamp.

I also like to have a remote ignitor as then I can choose whatever length of cable between the ballast and the lamp. Makes for a lighter, smaller fixture, too (currently set up as a table lamp with the ballast on the floor).

I use a BS546 5A round pin plug for the sockets fitted to the ballast boards. That way I know I can't plug things in wrongly.

Dont worry my ballast board is gonna stay in my room and im only gonna use an outlet adapter to remote ballast a lamp and will just leave it as a socket most of the time. My ballast is multi tap and im gonna feed all of the wires into the box and cap of the ones that im not gonna use.
