A lot of you guys from all over the U.S. have Ace Hardware stores near you, and it seems as though the stores you go into have stuff that I, as a store manager of an Ace here in New York, cannot order into my inventory!!  If any of you think of it or have the time, the next time you are in an Ace store and see HID lamps, please get the Ace numbers of clear 100 watt or 175 watt mercs if you see them (a five or seven digit number on the shelf tag).  Some of the stuff you guys have seen is stuff I want to order to stock in my store (primarily so I can buy it!!!)

At Home Depot, they had HPS lights up to 250 watts, no higher. They also had MV lights and MH lights.

At lowes, they had up to 400w HPS lights, but no 250w HPS... weird.. ANd they has MV lights and MH lights.

Ace Now Carries a General Lucalox 150 Watt HPS Lamp for about 28 Dollars.
