I tried looking for starter wires but I can’t find them, I’m thinking there not called starter wires and there called something different. Lol

I just called them starter wires since they go to the starter. They are just normal wire, simply use whatever you have laying around .lol.

I actually have an old pic - posted in 2010 - with one of these setups actually running a F15T12:

So I did everything in the picture and the tube light does not seem to flicker. The Christmas lights do flicker tho and the starter as well flickers. Any reason why nothing is happening with the bulb. Lights? Wiring?

Keep in mind I don’t have it turned on but it did flicker when it was on as well as the starter. And don’t mind my messy shed lol.

@LucasColley:
Is that a set of 100 lights? If so, add another set of 100 (or atleast a set of 50)
If its a set of 50, add 2-3 more sets of 50.

It’s a set of 100 but a few bulbs were burnt out and I tried fixing and and I made it worse. But I do have some other shorter strands, would that work if I add some together?

A few burned out bulbs is ok.
I just tested this, looks like it takes 150 - 200 bulbs as I'd guessed originally (you want to see a blinking orange glow in the fluorescent's ends...3 sections of 50 did that for me, adding one more section of 50 made the ends glow 'normal' color of the fluorescent (Daylight) that may be driving them a bit too hard)

Ok I’ll go try it right now. I’ll keep you posted.

Update I tried it with these 60 ct purple lights I did 4 sets of them so  it would be 240. I am now seeing a dim glow on the lights, all of them. But still nothing will the bulb. The starter also doesn't do anything. Help needed lol.

Wait did one of you guys say I could use a preheat ballast with a starter to make it go mercury starved? I have a rapid start ballast but I’m not sure if that’s preheat or not. I don’t think it is because there’s no where I can put the starter in, it’s just a ballast and sockets.

Hey everyone I’m going to try and get my light to do something today. I don’t know if you know this but I have a 32W T8 bulb, but the one in the picture is an f20 t12. Will my bulb work with that? I think that may be part of the problem. Please let me know.
