Sellers like that will only learn one way.... by getting negative feedback for false advertising and a forced refund in an ebay world where buyers can easily get refunded by force

Yeah but he could have been nicer though lol. When I messaged him, he replied in all caps “I WOULD NOT BUY IT THEN THEY ARE OLD”

I messaged the seller about this also and they replied with "Thank You for the information on the lamp being a used Metal Halide, I will add a disclaimer to the listing so people can make an informed purchase" perhaps that surplus dealer has more then one person with access to the eBay account and items for-sale as the reply I got back did not seem rude to me.
