An update, in 2021 early, a truck struck the power lines crossing the street toward our house. It caused the 1974 power pole outside to snap off and blew up the transformer on it. So that pole has been replaced now.
The other pole that was installed next door with HPS NEMA head on it, probably around 2009. That pole was removed summer of 2022, because my neighbor didn’t pay to use that NEMA head, making the pole redundant, and he was having a garage built, so pole was in the way.
I wish I was home when they removed the pole. As it was probably quite a sight to see them do, and I could’ve asked for the NEMA and arm maybe.
On the main road through my neighborhood, all of the power poles were replaced last year with new wooden ones, including some metal ones.
I think this really helped us have fewer damages from Hurricane Milton.
