At least the bulb was EOL.

This guy also did the same thing to an EOL HPS lamp.

I don't see any white arc that appears in the lamp before exploding.

Quite a fast explosion  :eoled: :eoled: :eoled: :eoled: :eoled:

Wish he had done this with a LED Bulb

Usually I collect bulbs (Mostly LED) and some HID ones. I also own a couple of streetlights, but most are made in Poland.

However, I mostly prefer SOX bulbs. LED bulbs in their efficacy will never beat SOX bulbs, in my opinion.

He used a HV transformer to explode the lamp. In that case, every lamp would explode, including fluorescent and LPS/SOX lamps.
