Wait, hail? Hail is typically associated with severe thunderstorms, thankfully, so I'd be surprised if your car sustained any damage. I wonder if
that may have been graupel or sleet? Either way though, I hate all four... graupel, sleet, freezing rain and snow. Especially sleet, freezing rain
and snow, since those three can cause the most havoc in terms of road conditions and power outages, etc.
I generally hate winter weather with a passion.

@wide-lite 1000, I've been saying that for the past 17 years. Ohio winters can be absolutely brutal, and can definitely be a form of severe weather.
That -15 degree (Fahrenheit and actual air temperature.) arctic blast we had back in 2013 was an eye opener for me. Thankfully we haven't gotten that cold
so far this winter, but that recent snow did definitely mess things up significantly, since my modes of transportation aren't necessarily the greatest as of
now. (I'm still saving up for a *regular* car.)
I hope I don't ever have to go through this again, at least for the rest of the year:

I lived in Georgia for 8 years and as much as I hate to say it , I'd rather have 20°f and snow than 36°f and rain !!! The Georgia cold and wet winters just SUCKED !!!!!

That's pretty much what's happening here in Washington - 34°F and rain.

Can't relly call it severe, but...
We had one of those arctic outbreaks move through here back in mid January.
And another arctic system (not as strong) this week. I hate this bitter freezing cold.

Wait, hail? Hail is typically associated with severe thunderstorms
Non-severe thunderstorms can have hail large enough to cause damage as well.
If the hail gets to 1" or above then the storm should get severe-warned.

I like Graupel(ie: "bean-bag snow"), its weird stuff & just kinda cool. And don't mind snow as long as I don't have to go out in it. .lol. We don't get freezing rain or ice-storms here.
The 3 I hate most :
Bitter cold (especially below zero)
Freezing Drizzle (that is truly nasty stuff)
Wind (all wind is bad, but wind+cold is far worse)
Hail

@xmaslightguy, yep, you're right. Non severe storms can also bring down hail... I've seen a few strong thunderstorms bring down small hail.
I would typically like hail, a lot, had it not been for the severe damage threat that they typically bring. lol

Getting a lot of snow, we already got 10"/26cm on Wednesday night/Thursday morning and it started snowing again. Apparently we're getting 30-45cm/12-17" over the weekend, ending Monday morning. Fortunately Monday is a holiday here so most people don't have to work.

That's possibly a little over 2 feet of snow total... am I correct? (My math skills are about as bad as a caveman, so I must ask.)
If so, that is a lot of snow, and that would drive me crazy. Our 10" of snow was enough for me, and I hope we don't get that again this year.
We are getting snow later on tonight into tomorrow though, but they're only expecting around 1".
Yeah... I'm done with winter. Winter sucks. lol

Bro, there's a whole mountain in front of my house from shovelling all this snow. I had to shovel 3 times that day  :(. This is completely (...) weather.

Yeah it's going to be terrible with that much snow. I'm guessing tomorrow will mostly be shoveling, at least until the snow stops. Hopefully that be the last of the big snowstorms this winter. Last year we were spoiled because we didn't get much snow but 2 years ago we had a big storm in the beginning of March and 3 years we got a big storm in mid January.

Speaking of severe:

I was looking at weather stuff a bit earlier... multiple tornado warnings down in dixie alley this evening/tonight.

Yep.. I had his stream on for awhile, then switched over to another guy when he ended.
Also looked at some of the storms/warnings myself on radar.

As for where I am, nothing severe ofcourse but: had fairly thick fog this morning(thats kinda rare here). Then got a couple inches of snow in the middle of the day.
