I'm wanting to get my hands on a 175 watt /C lamp.. Preferably in BT. I have a 175W Westinghouse lamp in clear BT and a 175W EYE lamp in /DX but no 175W /C... Also I want to get a gear set and bulb for an 18 Watt LPS lamp.. I've not seen an LPS lamp in person yet.. I am very curious. As of the moment I'm broke and cannot afford anything, but I thought I'd ask about them anyway just so I know what's up when the time comes around that I actually have money to blow... I prefer not to spend 100+ dollars on ebay..

That'd be awesome! sorry for the late reply I stopped looking at this post after a while. I figured nobody was going to reply! Does Australia have 120V ballasts?

I have ordered my first low Pressure Sodium lamps, they're 35 watt and I got three for 87 dollars plus free shipping. This is the cheapest I've seen for brand new lamps so I jumped on it.

I'm guessing it was the three GE lamps on eBay? I was thinking about buying one myself oh well lol. I'm happy for you that you got your first SOX lamps. They're very interesting lamps. It's too bad SOX street lights didn't take off in the United States. I would have liked to see the streets in my town lit with LPS.

Hmm..might not be the 3 used SOX lamps from UK. The global shipping crap does not allow bundling into one package so I paid dearly for 3-26w and 3-35w. Come to think of it, I paid over $110 CAD for shipping and duty! A bone-head purchase, for used lamps too.

I am seeing these other wattage SOX lamps I didn't even know about. I thought there was only 18, 35, 55, 90, 135, and 180 watt SOX. Also, did you get my PM?

The SOX-E lamps, and I always thought it's best to use their dedicated electronic ballasts, but according to https://www.lighting-gallery.net/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-13220026w SOX-E can replace a 35w SOX, 36w SOX-E cam replace a 55w SOX, 66w SOX-E can replace a 90w SOX, 91w SOX-E can replace a 135w SOX, 131w SOX-E can replace a 180w SOX, and 18watt SOX and SOX-E lamps, same watts same gear. I did get all your PMs. Did the last case arrive?

Oh so they produce the same amount of light but they use less energy? Yes I did receive it. Still waiting on my replacement. Regardless though I can ship yours anytime anyways. I'll check to make sure all looks good before shipping. If you're not in a hurry to get them I will be over where I have the lamps stored this weekend. If I can wait until then? Then they will be picked up by USPS on Monday.

Yeah it was the three GE's but apparently I paid for the three and some of their shipments arrived to other customers broken so they knocked two lamps off my order and said they'd refund me. So far the lamp hasn't shipped and I haven't been refunded or heard back from the seller.
This is some bullsh*t.
I'm gonna contact the seller in the morning. My attempt to acquire a stock of decently priced Sox lamps is not going well at the moment.

Ah. Yeah SOX lamps seem to be a lot more prone to breaking than HPS in shipping. I know SOX lamps are supposed to be vibration resistant though or something like that. That sucks though. Hopefully the seller works it out with you. They should.
