Are you sure it’s green LEDs and not standard ones that have worn phosphors ? There is a gas station here that has some that are so greened out you’d think they’re actually well worn clear MV. Maybe they wanted to test that particular model and they didn’t turn out that well.

Yup fairly certain they are green. These have only been up a year or two. many of the 4000/4100k LEDs have been up longer and are still just as white as the day they went in. The Phillips Road force that were installed here have a slight green hue to them and have since they were installed.

I hadn't seen a green one. All the ones here have a grayish color. For LED here they use the Phillips Roadfocus for highway lighting (but only mass changeout, spot replacements are kept HPS). Duke Energy uses AEL ATB0 for new rental lights, but they only use them for streetlights if it's on a brand new pole, otherwise they use HPS for spot replacement on any existing poles. My co-op however uses Evluma AreaMax LED for all new rentals and all spot replacement of HPS or MV NEMAs. Those have the closest to what I would call a coated MV color, but still not really green, more like a bluish gray.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.

The Shell gas station near me has LEDs that have a greenish white color of mercury vapor. Maybe because of the worn phosphors, because of excessive heat from the LEDs themselves. Remember, SMD LEDs on full power can get hot very fast, thats why they have heat sinks on them.

A Chevron Gas Station here has severely greened-out LED canopy lights, they are LSI branded and are probably going on 10 years old, they did in fact slowly shift to this green color over time, as I remember they started out typical 4000K color.
We have some cheap LED cobraheads going up around town too, they use the big COB type chip you see in the cheap Ebay floods, however instead of green, they emit an ugly purply-gray color that reminds me of those 5mm LEDs installed in flashlights and PAR flood bulbs of the early 2000's, albeit at a much higher wattage. The glare is also terrible.

While these are not COB style LED- I was driving in a different part of Colorado Springs and noted several intersections with these same greener looking LEDs. I'm wondering if in fact these are 5+ years old and are color shifting. I've made a mental note to reach out to Colorado Springs Utilities to see if they can shed some light on this. I'll let you know what I hear back.

I realized that the top tint on the front windshield of my vehicle adds a bit of a green hue to things as well at night so sometimes things appear greener- none the less- a few days ago I was back down in the springs and rolled down the window and yup, still green ![Smiley :)](/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I love it. These are certainly older LEDs vs the newer ones they are installing, and I'll get a better look at them in the daytime to see if I can spot a model. Will get some photos as well. Of note- colorado springs loves to use 400w HPS with globe reflectors, something not very common around here as most utilities used 150 and 250 watt HPS with only using high mounted 400W at some intersections it is great to see brightly on the side streets, but they sure are glare bombs and I would hate to live near one as well with how bright they are.

couple of years ago the local prison hospital replaced the hps lights all around the complex with weird looking leds. the first time I saw them I would have swore they were 1kw clear mercs, however they're too small , they look like old 1500 w halogen floods attached to long thin rectangular boxes

If they looked like 1kW clear mercs a couple years back then I bet they look like like a greened out Caster or Brinks 175w clear merc today if they haven't already failed or been replaced again! ![Grin ;D](/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

There is a Love's Travel Stop in Sidney, NE that has yellowish/green LEDs. Every fixture looks the same. From the Post tops to the Fuel Islands. I just thought they had been ordered that way. Sort of like a WW configuration instead of CW
