Power distributor: CenterPoint Energy. 120V 60Hz

Since probably soon, I might be getting a streetlight that is 250w. And in the future when I get my electrician's license, I want to put it in the backyard, but 250w is an overkill for a backyard, and I was thinking of converting it to 150w HPS, which is suitable for backyard use, and I was thinking, which HPS ballast is good quality?

Advance, Universal, GE, Sylvania ballasts should be good. Stay away from Sola junk, plus the Chinese offbrands. That's the best advice I can give you.

By the way @Silverliner, is Keystone is a good brand, because ebay has a bunch in 120v.

no they are not. Avoid Keystone. My preference is Sylvania/Osram.

I think Venture Lighting might be another decent ballast manufacturer.
I have a Robertson 150w HPS ballast that i've used for testing 150w HPS lamps and so far it's held up but i'm not sure how well it will do if it was put into service (as Robertson might be another mediocre HID ballast manufacturer for all i know).

Robertson HPS ballast? I haven't seen any Robertson 150w HPS ballasts on ebay. All I seen is Advance, GE, Keystone, Sola, and Venture Lighting.
