Hey fella's.
I'm working on creating a video game environment that I'm making for a school assignment. The environment and 'building rules' are based on the architecture of the buildings in the Soviet Union, which makes it an environment full of concrete roads, sidewalks and buildings.
What I did is the following things: find a random building within the area of Pripyat, Chernobyl, make a blueprint of the building and structure, then erect it. After I had completed that, I textured the walls with concrete and Soviet propaganda.
I recreated lighting realistically. The lamp posts and luminaries you see in the photos are an accurate representation of the lamp posts residing in that area. They contain 250w MV. On the interior of the building, which has not been finished, I've placed Circline fixtures as 'main' lighting, and T12 40w fixtures to light up the stairs.
So here is the game:
1. Front of the 'Energetik Center'
The front of the building filled with propaganda and on top a Soviet Union flag waving.2. A look at the lamp posts
Here you can see the Pripyat lamp posts, made to look new.3. The interior and light fixtures
On the walls Circline fixtures for best light spreading, and at the stairs linear fluorescent fixtures.4. View from second floor
Here's a better view of the fixtures on the stairs.I'm still developing, and will continue to do so because I really like it. If you have suggestions or questions please ask me. If someone wants I can do some updates on this post sometimes.
Please tell me what you think.
