What do you think of paper made from stone? It doesn't seem to be a big thing, but it seems to be good for photo printing.

Paper is a fibrous thing with some glue. So I can not imagine, how that could be made of any stone or so (well, except maybe an asbestos).

Limestone may be used as an additive into the glue. And many papers are made with "marble surface", but that is nothing else than a surface coloring, where the only common thing with the limestone is the marble color, but nothing in the material composition.

My paper was from ViaStone. It sounds like the plastic might be an issue.

I have used stone paper before, and it's not the best, ONLY ballpoint pens stick to it, and I don't like ballpoint pens at all, I prefer liquid ink pens like the uni-ball vision elite, or the classic Pilot precise V5. I use Black and Red notebooks myself, amazing paper, but a bit expensive.

There's likely something in printer ink that makes it great for stone paper, but I have yet to try stone paper for writing. Why is it not being used more? And I currently use Uni-Ball Signo 207/307 pens, but I hope to start using my Vision Elite pens soon.

But that isn't paper, but a plastic foil (using limestone as a plastic filler material is very common since bakelite time - it was used instead of the wooden dust).

Pelikan made a completely plastic made glossy paper for inkjet printers during the first decade of the 2000's. I used this paper for my past HP Deskjet 6122 and before than Epson Stylus Color 600. The print side was smooth and glossy and the other side was rugged. This papar couldn't absorb print quality above 1200x1200dpi, or the print would be smeared.
