I've just ordered a second Lab Stand so that we can hold the linear lamps between them securely  :sli:  8)

Trying to figure out how the Christmas decorations (that were still out) are doing from roughly 2000 miles away, after unusually strong winds blew stuff and damaged other things.

That's the distance I am from home. Sorry if I caused any confusion, but I hate typing on my phone.

I have been testing various 400w H33 mercury vapor lamps, 400w M59 probe start metal halide lamps, a 400w M135/M155 pulse start metal halide lamp, a 310w S67 high pressure sodium lamp, and a 360w S64 high pressure sodium lamp on Jefferson Electric 400w H33 mercury vapor HX and CWA ballasts and was measuring the lamp current and arc drop of each lamp. For the probe start metal halide lamps, I used a 750v 2 wire parallel ignitor to light them and I used a superimposed ignitor to light my 310w high pressure sodium lamp and my 400w pulse start metal halide lamp.

Here is the data I gathered for running lamps on my Jefferson 400w H33 HX mercury vapor ballast:

Westinghouse Econolux C360S64/EL:

arc drop: 108.5v
lamp current: 3.42a

Osram Sylvania Lumalux LU310:

arc drop: 121.8v
lamp current: 3.19a

Osram Sylvania Metalarc Pulse Start M400/PS/U:

arc drop: 131.6v
lamp current: 3.01a

Westinghouse Lifeguard H33-1-CD:

arc drop: 131.5v
lamp current: 3.06a

Sylvania GTE Super Metalarc MS400/C/HOR:

arc drop: 130.2v
lamp current: 3.01a

Sylvania GTE H33-1GL/DX:

arc drop: 135.0v
lamp current: 2.97a

Philips North America MH400/U:

arc drop: 135.8v
lamp current: 3.00a

Osram Sylvania Metalarc M400/C/U:

arc drop: 129.5v
lamp current: 3.11a

Osram Sylvania Super Metalarc MS400/C/HOR:

arc drop: 124.7v
lamp current: 3.15a

Osram Sylvania Metalarc M400/U:

arc drop: 145.2v
lamp current: 2.57a

Sylvania GTE H33GL-400/C:

arc drop: 124.7v
lamp current: 3.22a

Here is the data I gathered for running lamps on my Jefferson 400w H33 CWA mercury vapor ballast:

Osram Sylvania Lumalux LU310:

arc drop: 126.8v
lamp current: 3.60a

Osram Sylvania Metalarc Pulse Start M400/PS/U:

arc drop: 143.3v
lamp current: 3.50a

Westinghouse Lifeguard H33-1-CD:

arc drop: 133.4v
lamp current: 3.52a

Sylvania GTE Super Metalarc MS400/C/HOR:

arc drop: 129.1v
lamp current: 3.60a

Sylvania GTE H33-1GL/DX:

arc drop: 137.3v
lamp current: 3.51a

Philips North America MH400/U:

arc drop: 135.9v
lamp current: 3.58a

Osram Sylvania Metalarc M400/C/U:

arc drop: 129.3v
lamp current: 3.65a

Osram Sylvania Super Metalarc MS400/C/HOR:

arc drop: 122.8v
lamp current: 3.72a

Osram Sylvania Metalarc M400/U:

arc drop: 150.5v
lamp current: 3.58a

Sylvania GTE H33GL-400/C:

arc drop: 125.0v
lamp current: 3.66a

Had to replace another LED lamp today (Feit Filament 9w 5000K, 60w incandescent equivalent) that became a flashing light show. Replaced it with the same thing, except the lamp is a newer one and has four filaments that emit light from two sides instead of six filaments that emit light from one side like the old one.

I once replaced an EOLED LED filament lamp and took the filaments out and ended up getting 2 in series to work on 120 volt. It was a flashing light show because it lacked a rectifier though.

I've noticed a lot of people complaining about having to replace EOL Feit LEDs ! I've using the Ecosmart LEDs from home depot and have had "0" problems with them . As as matter of fact , I have a pair of them mounted on my fence that have been running D2D flawlessly for 13 months and 1 in the light at the end of my driveway (also D2D) for over 2 years now . Sounds to me like we need to quit buying the Feit LEDs !!
