I have gotten mine from hobby lobby they have some neat lighting stuff there. The lamps are only as replacements not a full set so i would get them when the prices really drop off. Will check sales today.

I received a clamp on amp meter and gathered the following data for lamp currents on different ballasts. Here are the results from testing different HID lamp/ballast combinations:

US 35w S76 HPS lamp on 2 F20T12 chokes wired in parallel using 2 wire HPS ignitor:
Ran at about 0.85a.

US 35w S76 HPS lamp on a F20T12 choke and a 13w PL choke wired in parallel using 2 wire HPS ignitor:
Ran at about 0.35a.

US 100w H38 MV lamp on proper HX ballast:
Ran at about 0.875a

European spec 80w MV lamp on H38 HX ballast:
Ran at about 0.944a.

European 70w internal ignitor HPS lamp on H38 HX ballast:
Ran at about 1.0a.

35w SOX lamp on US 35w M130 MH ballast using European 35w 2 wire SOX ignitor:
Fluctuated widely between 0.44a and 0.78a. I sometimes have gotten readings close to 0.56a and 0.63a.

US 70w M143 CMH lamp on H38 HX ballast using 2 wire HPS ignitor:
Ran at about 1.0a.

European 70w SON-T HPS lamp on H38 HX ballast using 2 wire HPS ignitor:
Ran at 1.127a.

US 70w M98 MH lamp on H38 HX ballast using 2 wire HPS ignitor:
Ran at 1.196a.

US 70w M143 CMH lamp on 70w M98 MH ballast in E-conolight wall pack:
Ran at 0.783a.

European 70w SON-T HPS lamp on 70w M98 MH ballast in E-conolight wall pack:
Ran at 1.0a.

US 70w M98 MH lamp on proper ballast in E-conolight wall pack:
Ran at 0.883a.

European 70w internal ignitor HPS lamp on 70w M98 MH ballast in E-conolight wall pack without ignitor:
Ran at 0.90a.

US 100w H38 MV lamp on 70w M98 MH ballast in E-conolight wall pack without ignitor:
Ran at 0.694a.

European spec 80w MV lamp on 70w M98 MH ballast in E-conolight wall pack without ignitor:
Ran at 0.761a.

Changed out two EoL 35W HPS bulbs, one likely lasted 20 years.. very impressed.   Also changed out two F32T8 5000K EoL tubes that were on a programmed start ballast.  The programmed start ballast likely killed the 2nd tube when the 1st one went EoL as it cycled both tubes on and off when the first tube went EoL.  Disadvantage of Programmed start.  Can be very annoying in certain situations with the flickering of it going on and off so much.

We got a package from the States today with 2 clear MV lamps in it. A 100W one, and a 400W one.  :mv: :mv:
The 100W one is litted at the moment, running off the correct ballast that's plugged into our inverter.! :mv: :mv: 8)
