Today I grabbed the remains of a roadkill AEL 115 200w HPS FCO . All I really wanted was the reflector gasket but it looks to also have a good socket and possibly a good ignitor . Of all of the roadkill lights I've grabbed , this is the absolute worst !! This light was made on 3/25/20 .

Huh, you grabbed a super rare 115 made in the future! Do you mean 23? Hopefully the socket and ignitor are still good.

FIXED IT ! I'M AN IDIOT !! I meant to type 3/25/20 ! The socket looks to be fine , I didn't look closely at the ignitor though .

Today I took a 3 1/2 hr road trip each way to get another Wide-Lite ! This one is one of the little 250w MV versions ! It came with a GE Bonus Line 250w /c lamp !!! This adds more to my theory that Wide-Lite originally supplied GE lamps with their fixtures !! Photos soon !!

I believe that's what it's called . It's a tiny little thing ! Compared to a normal Wide-lite anyways .

purchased a box of F40t12CW tubes for my basement lights - they all work but to be safe in the future cleaned up my 400 watt MH bracket light and tested it out - the hammered bulb is the ONLY reason it was out / taken down ordered and received a dropped / FCO refractor for my M250R2 as I personally prefer drop glassware VS FCO on them

Today I went to my favourite lamp shop and found out that they had run out of non led ones . But I heard that next week they will try to find an old box of fluorescents (some new some used) and I can take all for free! Expecting to find coloured ones

Installed my two new GE HALARC 50w Quartz Metal Halide lamps that I got in the mail, into my Wallpacks in my garage. One had a really tough time firing up, but eventually it lit successfully. Hopefully that's not a common theme... hopefully it can start up without any problems from here on out. But... now that I have four GE HALARC lamps in use, it is now incredibly bright in there. Much brighter than the Caster QMH lamps when they were new. I have two Caster QMH left to replace in that garage, but I'll wait till my next paycheck. Very fast warm up time. I.. also installed two QMH 35w lamps into my sportcar, with their cheapo electronic ballasts. Deplorable. Absolute disappointment there. I mean, I expected to be disappointed, but not to this extent. Those Promax HID ballasts SUCK. The lamps are both incredibly dim and barely even change color when warmed up. They seem underpowered. I want to stick with HID with that car in terms of headlights, but choosing high quality HID ballasts for cars seems to be a tough thing to do. I'm guessing that I have to pay more than a hundred dollars to get quality HID ballasts... is this the case?

Tested some F96T12 magnetic slimline ballasts that I got a while back but never got around to testing until now. They all work.
