Spent some time swapping all the lampholders on my louvered fluorescent fixture. I was having trouble with certain lamps not starting. It turns out the lamps needed the pins cleaned too. The lampholders I swapped out had a few chips in them anyway.

Here's some of the things I've done over the past few weeks.
I repaired a twin diffused batten that was missing the diffuser,
I found a top mount AJ Ferguson Zodiac with an arm on sale for $10 but ended up not being able to get it because the seller decided they'd keep it for themselves despite the fact I had already arranged pickup and successfully talked my mum into driving me to get the light,
And I trashpicked a genuine Luxo Lamp albeit missing the base and cable.

Purchased my first SOX lamp and gear today. Hopefully it arrives in one piece and will fit inside the fixture shell I have prepared.

Bought some Sylvania 40w incandescents and converted one of my bathroom fixtures from failing LEDs.

I’ve always been interested in all kinds of lighting, mainly incandescent and HID, and especially all kinds of sodium lamps (HPS/LPS). I’ll tolerate LED but I’m not a fan of it.
I’m not proud to say that my city has Devolved to LED.

All lighting except LED rules!

It wasn't today but the other day I saved a 100 watt PSMH yardblaster that was being changed out for LED (funny enough the new LED fixture was DOA) and the only thing I had to do was change the ignitor for the lamp.  :emh:

I think HPS, MV, and MH rule! :mv: :mvc: :hps: :emh: Ban LED instead! :eoled:

On the weekend, took down the 4 fluorescent fixtures I had as extra lighting for the deck (so I could properly paint the wall there)
Yesterday I painted the insides of the fixtures (were originally a beige-brown color, now are silver inside, & will be hammered-silver on the outside)
