LOOK at this LINK! https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/UL-led-filament-light-T30-long_60457355024.html?spm=a2700.7724838.0.0.WfiZxQA 3800 lumen lamp can replace a 50w HPS or 100w MV lamp. Where I live has 50w HPS lights on much of the residential streets, so in theory these could be used. But what about cooling and longevity?

3800lm is more replacement for an 80W MV. But T would guess for the bulb size of the common 80W MV the 24W would be way too much. Plus the thick rods would be very bad for cooling (the power is too much concentrated to really allow efficient heat transfer to the gas), compare to higher amount of thin, 0.25W/cm standard rods used for the 4..8W domestic products.

Yeah, those large ones look like they'd be more for decorating steampunk projects.

Not stated if the 3800Lm is from the LEDs or from the arc when they blow up

Cooling issues are what I suspect. Notice the major lampmakers have not heavily pursued LED filament lamps. Is it because of fundamental flaws?

Because it is offered directly by the maker. And they do not want to mess up with single units logistic to millions of customers, but rather want to sell millions of bulbs to just few customers.

Alibaba is a site for total garbage, coming from back street, `jump on the LED bandwagon`, suppliers and manufacturers, to make a quick Yen in China!
You can bet these don`t have the machinery, or technical know how to adequately fill the outers with the correct cooling gas to make an LED filament lamp work at this size!
Until Sylvania bring one out, these wouldn`t be worth buying?

It is just a B2B market place. With quite decent stuff, as well as garbage. Where do you think the "Sylvania" bulbs will come from?

It should also list the color temp for the arc.

Yeah, the Sylvania ones are made in Chinese factories, but as I understand it, its one of the few Chinese factories that has the right equipment and machinery for the proper gassing of these lamps.

I wouldn't consider buying from alibaba. Their sellers products are trash. And a risk you won't get your product.

Well, buying from Alibaba means buying in quantities starting from 1000 or so, so it would not surprise me you won't buy there...
