Where can I get a 250 or 400 Watt pulse start MV lamp? Moon Pulses only go up to 175 Watts. Clear preferred.

They don't exist, unfortunately.

Then how can I run MV on my pulse start ballast for 250 and 400 Watt lamps? How about 3 175 Watt Moon Pulse lamps in parallel and be underdriven a little bit?

"Then how can I run MV on my pulse start ballast for 250 and 400 Watt lamps?" You don't, unless you want to destroy the resistor in the MV lamp during a hot restrike.
"How about 3 175 Watt Moon Pulse lamps in parallel and be underdriven a little bit?" In parallel, only one lamp would strike. Series might work though.

Parallel wouldn't work; only one would strike. Maybe series...
Then you need a higher voltage.

The starting pulse may be high enough. FYI, it's cheaper to buy a probe MH ballast than three Moon Pulse lamps.

But how to use it in an easy way? Then I would need some kind of fixture.

Search your local Craigslist for stuff like "shop light", "gym light", "garage light", "industrial light", etc. and get a probe MH high/low bay. Problem solved.

Or wait a couple of years for a potentially 400 Watt probe start double highbay.

If you want to wait that long. I found these on my local CL just now by searching "shop light", and I would totally buy them if I needed some because they're a killer deal. To put it in perspective, $20 is less than a new 400w MH ballast kit costs.

I saw a MV warehouse light in a thrift shop for $50. I wish I got it.

Either the label on these Craigslist MH highbays is printed wrong or they significantly underdrive a 400W MH lamp. The line volt amps is about 300 so even with PF close to 100% that's less than 300W including ballast losses. Maybe the currents on the label were meant for a 250W fixture.

Why would it underdrive the lamp?
