I put in an offer, seller counter-offered at $29+something, sniped by someone else. Most likely bought at the original $32 price, good for any 175w MV ballast. There you go.

I have seen that happen a few times. Someone posts a link to something rare but cheap, it disappears and the buyer doesn't turn themselves in, and then a few weeks the same thing comes up for a staggering price. Not just on here but on other forums.

Oh yes they do! Local Canadian hardware stores around here are still stocking and selling 175w MV fixtures. I put one up at my uncles and he likes it much better then HPS lol

I've called many electrical supply places looking for NOS or new MV items that might still be in stock. I spent an entire afternoon on a week day when I was off work trying to hunt stuff down throughout SW Ontario and the GTA. Came up pretty much empty handed. I was even giving them part numbers etc and still pretty much nothing. The Globe brand 175 watt MV yardblasters are still available at Princess auto and Rona for $59.99 I did find 50w EYE brand clear MV bulbs in Quebec but they were $$.
