Went to the Home Depot the other day and took a stroll down the lighting isle.  several mid-isle displays set up featuring traditional incandescent looking light bulbs but as 60 watt LEDs.  One for a 4-case from Feit Electric, (best priced) A case from Philips, (a bit more expensive) and a case of some strange brand I've never seen.  All nicely priced.  The LED price wars have begun.

The Home Depot in Greenville,NC has closed-now the building is a Burlington Coat Factory.

I'll need to get back to Home Depot and grab one of those cases, as it turns out I did purhcase the Feit Electric model after all...

This is what i purchased.  For use in non-dimable circuits. Going to use them in my garage door openers (2 bulbs each opener) should make things much nicer than what I have in there right now which are crappy CFLs.  And if they are as good as they claim hopefully my mom will never need to touch them again.  She's 71 years old now.

I hope they are not on the same relay contact with the opener motor.. Or else you WILL replace them a lot
