Your lighting "bucket list" « on: September 01, 2014, 07:02:25 PM » Author: RichD
We all have at least one. They are our personal "holy grails" of lighting collecting; those items we aspire to add to our collections before we ourselves go EOL. Here are mine, in no particular order:

F90T17 fixture
F40T17IS fixture
F24T12 Slimline fixture
F36T12 Slimline fixture
Twin 400 MV fixture (one that uses the tulamp MV ballast)
1000 watt high bay MV fixture (a real vintage one, not a converted MH unit)
180 watt LPS (Sox) fixture
VHO outdoor "gasoline station" fixture
A fixture to run the legendary 3Ft T17 lamp, along with a few lamps for it... (yes, I am dreaming here)

What's on your lighting "bucket list"?

A bunch of preheat halfpipes with Daylight Deluxe or White Deluxe. I want my future workshop for vacuum cleaners and vintage electronics and what not to be completely lit by F40's and F96 Slimlines. A big mercury vapor 399< watts cobrahead outside my house. I want a big sign that says "If you come here with the intention of updating my lighting then get your --- off my property." I hope I used that numerical symbol correctly, I mean 400 watts or greater.

I want a real F40 preheat fixture (not my tacky rapid start conversion one), a Westy OV25 (400w MV) a Westinghouse 100w MV RMA NEMA, a gumball or teardrop, a bunch of daylight F40s, a BT25 /W Lifeguard...the list goes on and on!

Lots of preheat industrials and halfpipers and a pole with two VHO gas station lights.

- I would be happy if I would find a Thorn OQ 1000 Floodlight including the sealed beam Metalhalide Lamp CSI/CID 1000W PAR 64.
- a bunch of 2ft 40W tubes and ballasts like those were used in the past here in certain fluorescent Streetlights
- Daylight or WarmWhite Powergroove 8ft tubes. ( only Coolwhite are available here)

- That made me LOL.  ;D

Perhaps not really a bucket list since many of mine are easily obtainable (money and space are the biggest obstacles for me), but mine are as follows:

  • An F40T12 Lite White lamp
  • A GE or Sylvania 4500 White lamp
  • A GE Mazda 4, 6, or 8 Watt, in any of the whites
  • A GE Mazda 14 Watt, in any of the whites
  • An Iwasaki Eye 100 watt self-ballasted mercury vapor lamp
  • A 50 watt DX-coated metal halide lamp
  • A 40 watt mercury vapor lamp
  • An Ash Flash Discoverer II
  • A NEMA bucket fixture, of any sort
  • More Philips/Norelco Color 33 lamps
  • An Advance HB-234-TP ballast  :P
  • An Eveready Commander fluorescent lantern
  • An Eveready 3-Way Lite fluorescent lantern
  • A Delta Electric railway lantern
  • A preheat fluorescent night light
  • A 10 watt 2D screw-in adapter
  • A fixture to use my Advance LQ-106F-TP ballast in
  • A combo fluorescent/incandescent night light*

*Had one several years ago, destroyed it when I took it apart. Haven't seen another since. You bet I regret it.

I think that's it.  ;D

I forgot all about the floor lamps!! I'd love to have at least one, preferably the 2x14 variety instead of the circline, but I'd be happy with either. Also, might as well add a Dazor floating arm lamp, the kind with 2 F15T8s.

Some radial wave and admiral hat incandescent streetlights and a decent stock of 32W and 103W lamps for them.
Some 18W LPS or 18W LPS/13W PL combination shoebox fixtures and matching ~10ft poles.
A full range of incandescent streetlight lamps.
A decent stock of 12V linear fluorescent and LPS ballasts.
A 2 lamp magnetic rapid start F8T5 striplight.
And a light tower trailer.  Or a few light tower trailers.

I just want to find a SLI lamp that is either NOS or usable. Preferably one made in the PE plant in South Africa as well.

I wasn't aware you could get preheat gear for Power Grooves. Did you mean Power Twists?
