Rewired desk lamp « on: August 26, 2007, 06:10:12 PM » Author: DaveMan
I rewired this desk lamp from a manual push starter type to one that will take an FS2 starter. note that I haven't gotten a starter socket yet and that the guts from an FS2 starter are hanging out on bare wires. This is dangerous to do so I am going to put a starter socket there and attach it with wire nuts. The pull chain switch came from an old childhood toy my dad built when I was 3, a shelf of lights. It was a bit dusty but it still worked. I have two starter guts that I've used with it, one from an Advance starter and one from an old LOA undercabinet light. I like the LOA one better because it has more flicker to it. Gives it more character.

I agree very nice!  I always thought about doing that with one of these F15 fluoro desklamps!

The future of street lighting is Induction, not nasty HPS lights or cr@ppy LED lights!
Preheat CFL's should make a comeback!
