I saw these on eBay as well the bidding is almost at $50 dollars each  :o I expect to double that when the auction has a hour or so left.

Looks like it's the same people bidding on both lamps too. Looks like the seller knows they are old too, as he mentioned that preheat ballasts are recommended.

Is it true that these won't work on a rapid start ballast?

Out of the millions made & not including these , Their are only 4 that are documented here on this site .

With these that makes for a total of 6 documented , Very sad !!!

My guess is there are probably around 200 to 300 of these tubes in existence today waiting to be discovered with about 3 to 4 bulbs being tossed out every year..

My recommendations are to take & save the pictures of these bulbs from this site & get them posted in the local news papers so people can see what you are looking for , Keep in mind people are not mind readers & you can't expect them to realize that these are now highly collectable .

Anyone who has the time & will power can still obtain these early bulbs , Capture the pictures here & get them out in the papers as i believe there are far more to be had .

The guy that bought these has NO intentions of ever firing these up , They are for display purposes only.

These bulbs are hiding in garages, Attics, Old buildings, Barns , So  keep that in mind while you're out junking .& get those adds & pictures out in you're local papers !!!!

Recently 2 T-17 fluorescent fixtures were rescued & John Dieselnut rescued a bunch of T-17 fluorescent fixtures over 3 years ago !!!!

ITS UP TO YOU !!!!!

You can also try running a wanted ad on Craigslist. Say you are interested in any old unwanted lights and that you will come get or remove them. I got most of my lights just by asking for them.
