Can I be able to assist in ignition and hot restrike of HID lamps with my UV LED flashlight, that will take the rule of the enhancer inside the lamp? I think that the wavelength of the UV LEDs inside my flashlight is between 390-400nm, because they are very bright visually and their spectra band are visible in the spectrum using my CD-R. Which wavelength in the UV the enhancer prodcues that assist the ignition of MH lamps, by ionizing the argon gas? Is this works also with phosphor coated MV and SBMV lamps, or only in clear lamps?
Update: I did hot restrike test of my Philips ML 160W (2 cooling down period), which during it, I pointed my UV LED flashlight, and attached it to the lamp. When the auxiliary discharge appeared, I turned off my UV flashlight for 1/2 sec, to see if that discharge is as a result of some UV assisting, but that discharge didn't disappeared. The lamp eventually hot restruck after 1:58 minutes.
