I always liked the Lampi lights.  What ever happened to them??

I think they went out of business in the mid-2000s, but I'm not entirely certain. 

You can find their company history on their archived website.  I pulled up their address on Google Maps, and thier facility in Alabama appears to now be occupied by a company called Yulista.

I remember Lampi quite vividly, in the early-mid 1980s.  Whenever my family would go shopping on Sunday afternoons, we'd always stop at Pergament (the pre-cursor to Ace Hardware) at some point in the day, so my dad could buy a needed home-improvement tool.  When you walked into our local Pergament, the lighting department was to the left.  My parents would go ahead and shop while I gazed at all the beautiful lighting fixtures that were on display, including all the preheat Lampi fixtures, which were sold with warm white lamps.
