I was so tempted to use these, but went with the Megaman lamps instead, Megaman put a more realistic 15,000 hours life on theirs.

When that was an isolated incident, I would expect they will ask it back - to study, what went wrong.
Well, maybe too naive, I'm used to such approach in the automotive industry...

if so we expect an autopsy.
remember that no matter who makes a device there will be some duds.
the higher the parts count the more chances of having a failure.

no doubt.  Just messing with ya.  I respect some of the Philips products, i just tend to favor the old powerhouses like Sylvania and GE is all.  Philips use to make some of the best fluorescents and incandescents years ago and their first gen of T8 ALTO F32T8s 70 series easily outlasted anything put out by Osram/Sylvania and GE.  Sadly their second generation of ALTOs just flat out suck with very very weak filaments and horrible lamp life. 

i hope to receive it before the next year 
however, if i can keep this broken lamp, i'll try to reveive it, replacing what failed.

actually no, they asked me to keep the fault one with original check and box (i kept all); if they ask, i'll send the lamp.
Yesterday i noted some bad smell near the ballast housing.

update: philips customer service don't respond me, i asked about replacement, but they seems to ignore my request.  

update 2: today i received the replacement; it isn't the same lamp, but works well, thank you philips! 

update 3: i managed to revive the lamp, during autopsy, i noted some bad soldering on the wire that connect one led module.
now it works!
