What is the true nature of Eurolux? « on: July 15, 2011, 03:46:37 AM » Author: dor123
While Eurolux is a well known brand in Europe, in Israel they seems to be a brand sticker that marketed by Illumina as many of our Eurolux lamps (Especially the ones that recently be advertised as "Liquid mercury free" [Amalgam][See attachment] aren't appears in the Eurolux website). Also, Illumina advertises the Eurolux lamps in Israel as how they want, freely (The case of "liquid mercury free" for example).
Also, based of the fact that Illumina, IS the company that advertises several of the Eurolux CFLs as liquid mercury free, i don't know if Eurolux is a real manufacturer, or that there are simply many countries in Europe (Includes Israel), that markets "Local Eurolux brand sticker products" in them (ITT is an excellent example of a brand sticker that both the US and Israel and probably other countries markets in them).
What do you think?

As long as they light up....that's all that matters to me....amalgam or not, CFLs are, and always will be JUNK!!!! It doesn't matter if a CFL uses amalgam or not, as long as theres something in there to make light!

Eurolux is basically a brand name applied to the products of various companies, just being a made to order name. The products are made by various Chinese companies for them.

I found a box of Eurolux CFL at home. There is a photo of CFL on the package, and if you look careflly you see that "Eurolux" is not written on the actual CFL, it is 'shopped onto a photo of untitled CFL
