I know for fact some are Philips lamps after seeing the markings from photos of their lamps as well as the fact CSA listings were obtained by Philips

Some snake oil selling company who doesn't do anything other than rebadge other manufacturers' lamps, overinflate specs and price and use Herbalife style marketing to sell 'em.  FTC should have shut 'em down a long ago.

Washington State:

    * Effective January 1, 2011 Maintenance Engineering limits the sale of mercury-containing lamps to commercial and industrial customers only. Sales of mercury-containing lamps to residential customers in the state of Washington are prohibited.


This is one of the biggest non-sense I've read.  

That company's such a scumbag the FTC should shut 'em down. Talk about totally deceptive claims to sell their overpriced junk.

Looked at their site, did not look at everything yet but I notice they claim they invented the mercury capsule?! That's a Philips design all the way! Yup, their sales scheme is known as "pyramid marketing" which is considered illegal in some states.

I have seen plenty of their fluorescents in California and there is one place near me that still has some in use.

These are the folks that have that  "50 year ballast warranty" too. They bought out Duro Test Corporation, hence the  "DTC". They do seem like some shady scammers. They sent two salesmen into our shop a while back. I questioned just about every statement they had. They even went so far as saying their lamps were better CRI and higher lumens than anything out there. They bashed every major manufacturer of lamps, yet they never could prove or say where they make theirs! Certainly not junk, as the lamps are nice color and very  bright, but their marketing is shady at best.

@Dieselnut, ME bought only the Canadian division of Duro-Test. DTC means Duro-Test Canada. The Duro-Test in the USA is now owned by the new fake Westinghouse company. Duro-Test fluorescents are mostly made by Osram Sylvania now, they used to be made in New Jersey until the old Duro-Test Corp closed in 2000.

Ahhh yes!  I remember you or someone else saying that on here a while back, Silverliner.  I also remember seeing where the "Power Twist" lamps are still available on their website!

Some of their lamps are private labeled Philips ALTO so those are no better or worse than the original lamps, but they're certainly junk compared to the lumen specs they give.  If they're putting out 3,600 and they're claiming 6,000+ and charging higher prices, it does make them an overpriced junk.
