I've been buying Sylvania's F40T12/CWP tubes at Menards for a while and I absolutely love them! At work today, I tried to order some from our electrical supplier and he said they are no longer available. Our supplier is a full Sylvania dealer, too.

Menards still has the tubes, so why aren't they available commercially? Oddly enough, the ten packs that Menards sells have never been listed in Sylvania's catalogs, either in print or online. Is it possible that Cool White Plus are a special item just for home centers (or just for Menards)? Has anyone bought them elsewhere?

It looks like Service Lighting carries Sylvania F40CWP, at least.

I don't think the big companies (GE, Sylvania and Philips) like dealing with smaller customers.

There are some independently owned lighting supply specialty store, but they don't carry a lot of big name stuff. They have a lot of Ushio, Satco, SLI, Eiko and such. They don't even carry Philips you can find at the Home Depot.

Bowlingmania hooked me up with Sylvania 8000K SkyWhite that he found at very reasonable prices at Menards, who as a major customer with high annual purchase amount gets anything for a good deal.  From online stores, they cost like $25/tube. 

Have you tried Lowe's?  They carry GE and Sylvania.  The Home Depot carries Philips. 

I was in Lowes today they still sell cases of Sylvania F40CWPs so why not check them out?

Sylvania isn't quite up to date on their e-Catalog. There are several new fluorescent ballasts that are out there, but not in their catalog online.
