Try and keep the lamps too, U may find that the starter have gone open circuit so there maybe some good lamps. Antd at the stupid price they are now they will be worth testing! What make are the lamps? Early GE i bet?

No, they were Philips in this one, but had gone beyond, mercury starved, and into that pink stage!!!, the tubes have to be binned by law, Karl said, with them having mercury in, but the fitting are ok to take.

We have this little Scottish guy on H+S though, he`s a right pain in the arse "jobs worth", right into his COSHH, and all that crap, I get on well with Karl, but I think he has left the tubes on top of the paint plant anyway ::)

I hate them people. I have had some pretty nasty confrontations with people over Health and Safety Mostly end up with me getting my way before i resort to violence! One guy telling me i should strap myself to a scaffhold and should have hard hat ETC. That got a bit nasty!
