1850k LED; Rare LED Colour Temp. Finds « on: April 03, 2025, 01:27:40 PM » Author: Eleco_SR304
Recently, I believe I have found a lantern (TRT Aspect) that uses 1850k. Usually, people find 2200k very tricky but 1850k. Also, are these 1850k because they give a similar colour temp. to the LPS bulbs.

So to get to the main bit. Anyone found any rare LED colour temps. like purple, blue (not light) or red (dark orange)? It'd be nice to see what finds can be already found around the World  :)

The 1850k (I believe) LEDs in a Aspect lantern in the UK:

Usually I collect bulbs (Mostly LED) and some HID ones. I also own a couple of streetlights, but most are made in Poland.

However, I mostly prefer SOX bulbs. LED bulbs in their efficacy will never beat SOX bulbs, in my opinion.

I'm not exactly sure if I can talk about this, but a company with an 'S' in their name have recently manufactured ~7 very special experimental fixtures which are installed in a new suburb next to a national park in Canberra. They can not only dim down to about 10% brightness, but can also change their colour temperature between 4000k and 2200k. And all of this is controlled by a laptop. When the trial ends, they will be sent back to the company...

Something else which is interesting that I saw yesterday was the laptop used to control ALL of Canberra's thousands of smart streetlights. This could dim them, switch them on or set a schedule to turn them off at certain times of night! Either individually or a group of them.

Nice technology use  :) I bet England doesn't even have that, even though North has better technology than the South  :-\ Surprisingly, Maybe other countries have that too in the North...

It's a global company, most prominent in the US and Canada. I don't know which housing is used, I'll photograph them in the coming days and perhaps upload them after the trial.
