Anyone here collect alarm clocks and/or radios? « on: March 03, 2025, 01:25:23 AM » Author: Milwaukeeman2003
I’ve been wondering if anyone here collects alarm clocks and/or radios as I’ve been collecting this kind of stuff for over 3 years and could hardly find anyone who does.

Screw the 2028 120 lumen per watt mandate and DeviantArt! Love old cars, cassette tapes, radios, severe weather and most of all, lighting!

I don’t know if this counts as I don’t actively collect them, but I do have a GE rotating number clock (the one where it rotates to the next number when the minute or hour changes, not a flip mechanism clock) and an old Westinghouse solid state radio from I believe the 1970s.

I do have a few alarm clocks and clock radios. I usually collect more unusual models if I come across them.

I have a GE alarm clock radio from 1981 with a cyan colored display and variable brightness dimmer, I got at a nearby yard sale.

I’d like to find the GE “Great Awakening” model, that had a keypad for setting the time and radio station. I think I may have seen one at Habitat once, but someone got to it first before I could look at it. lol they look a bit like an old wood grain Atari video game console.

I remember years ago my parents used to have an old Emerson alarm clock radio with the flip numbers, but it stoped working sadly and it was thrown away.

And I just remembered I also have a 1970s GE digital alarm clock with no colon between the numbers. A very early one.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.
