Cooper seems to have finally discontinued the led ovf and ovh! IMHO they were ugly as sin and I most definitely won't miss them. Hopefully the navion is next.

I'm surprised they were discontinued only recently. I haven't seen them installed anywhere around here.

There is one in downtown Charlotte (North Carolina), and almost the entire town of Port Angeles, WA was using them as of 2023...

Yeah I thought they were discontinued a long time ago, when Cooper had a designed from scratch LED cobrahead in production.
Years ago, when my area was still trying out various LED luminaires for conversion, they installed about a dozen LED OVHs for testing, those are long gone, having been replaced when the LED conversion fully rolled out.

SRP for life.

They were discontinued at the same time as the HID versions. I'm guessing they're getting rid of the tooling for both luminaires and making more room for other stuff.

I’m surprised they were in production for so long, I never saw the LED versions here. It’s funny because I’ve seen the HPS versions here and they reminded me of an LED before I learned on LG that there was an LED version as well, since I didn’t know much about streetlight brands when I first joined.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.

They used quite a bit of LED versions here. From a distance, you couldn't tell if it was an LED and you would be assuming it's an HPS, but when you go under the fixture, you can see the LED panel in these things. Im pretty sure the ones in my city got replaced with Cree's.

Filament LEDs. Both a blessing and a curse.

Still some of these around here. They work just fine.
In some areas, they've been installed for as long as I can remember, so these have definitely had a long run. 11 years now?

It would be great if they removed the Verdeon, then go for the NVN lol

If they haven’t/won’t fix the yellowing issue of the Naveon, that should go first. They’re just as bad in terms of yellowing compared to the E-Cobra but built a little better. The Verdeon is a pretty good light which might not look the best but the LEDs hold their color well.

I've noticed a few Verdeons that are burning their refractors and turning them orange and dim.
