This step caused the production of almost all AEG lanterns to discontinue. And the Philips own Koffer2 lanterns are vastly different then the original Koffers from AEG. Haifa streetlighting dominated with the Koffer 250 and the first generation of the Koffer 150. And then in the 1990' by the second generation of the Koffer 150. Haifa had also many Seilkoffer 250s (Which many of them replaced not by regular Koffers but by another brands of lanterns) and have also Minikoffers and Koffer 70s. Now, in the end of the 1990', Stradasoles started to appear in the streetlighting of Haifa and replace many of the Koffer lanterns and there are still new installations of these lanterns today. Haifa also have several Stradaluxes. However i can see today that AEG in general today don't so much dominates Haifa streetlighting as in the past, as new brands of street lighting appeared such as Schreder and 3E International (Alliances which were installed by Gaash lighting) and this is an effect that caused by the taking over on AEG by Philips. So Why Philips took over AEG and distroyed its streetlight division??? (Remember that Philips produced lanterns even before taking over AEG)
