I had a green laser pointer, which failed in the last days. It behaves as if the batteries are weak, even with new batteries. Why this is happening?

I only working with the international date format (dd.mm.yyyy).
I lives in Israel, which is a 220-240V, 50hz country.

Because they are significantly more complicated with two-stage frequency conversion. Also, main laser diode runs at *much* higher output power - up to 1W compared to ~10mW of a common red pointer.

Same for me, green lasers are very unreliable. One died just because it was next to the car AC for too long. One died from a simple drop on carpet (I've since converted that to an infrared laser). Also, about the pump diode in green lasers, my 100mw green laser actually had an above 500mw infrared pump diode.
DPSS lasers have wavelength changing crystals, which need specific conditions to work properly. They need the correct temperature, input power (from pump diode) and much more.
Direct diode lasers, like red, blue, violet or even the IR diode in a green laser, can sustain more shaking, colder temperature and lower batteries.
Here is a picture of two green lasers, one without the crystals. You can see the infrared light as a purple like colour.

Direct diode green lasers are already exists. Why I can't see them in Aliexpress?

You are not searching hard enough, or Aliexpress does not like to list them in Israel region. After 5 munutes of googling - These are explicitly listed as direct, though pricey: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001315092616.htmlthese are probably direct, too? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005495558678.html

These are 100% direct ones, sure https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008288807250.htmlLikely, PLT5 originating from Osram Opto Semi Search for 520nm green laser to dig some more.

I'm searching laser pointers like this one , which are direct green laser diode. But these always available only as DPSS green lasers. Only the red and the violet are laser diodes.

So what's the problem? Searching Ali for "green laser pointer 520nm" reveals some of them that looks direct, too.

But this is way more expensive than DPSS laser pointer. Green DPSS laser pointer costs few shekels while direct green laser diode pointer costs in the tens of shekels.

@dor123 You can either buy a better quality green DPSS, or buy a more expensive 520nm diode laser. A good quality laser 303 does the trick, mine has lasted for 7 years now. Search "Laser 303" or "Laser 301" and the first few results are green dpss. Also, I never trust those pen shaped lasers, they are only good for a toy, and live shorter than a year.
