I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site. Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.
I only working with the international date format (dd.mm.yyyy).
I lives in Israel, which is a 220-240V, 50hz country.

Lighting - Gallery is in a long need to completely get rid of the dependence on shady external image sites like postimage. Finally...

Why? This is way better solution than uploading a complete crap collages to the site.

For some hard-to-understand reason it is possible to attach local pictures to forum messages on L-G, no problem, but it is not possible with gallery discussions.
Why it is bad:
1. Just inconvenient, you have to mess with some external service and paste URL, instead of just attaching a picture locally in one click. 2. Free picture services like Postimage are unreliable, no one guarantees you anything, pictures can disappear at any time, many interesting topics have lost their content, leaving just empty pages (

But still, if Imgur decides to purge old pictures on their servers, all involved conversations here will be lost.

Usually for more advanced option for embedding images in the description than with tags, you will have to used crap Web 2.0 elements like happens with Discord and modern forums.

And do you *really* trust this 'forever'? They have an extra option to purge an image forcibly after some set time, but this does not absolutely mean any promise to keep the image forever. More, they have a funny text at legal notices, which can be roughly summarized as 'no one promise you anything with our service, use completely at your own risk' https://postimages.org/terms

I've yet to see my old pictures there purged. And the said problem with Cloudflare has been solved after emailing them.

There's a fairly convoluted way to embed pictures into gallery comments and descriptions without having to use any 3rd party service:
1) Create a private album on LG 2) Upload the picture you want to embed to said private album, note that this is still counted under your daily upload quota. 3) Copy the direct URL of the image you uploaded (not to the image page but the one that points to the jpg itself. 4) Use the img tags to embed said picture into your description/comment.

Yep this works, though of course in a pretty convoluted way, and the question is still WHY L-G does not allow doing this just straightforward by directly attaching pictures... May be to stop someone from abusing the board by putting too many pictures in a single approach?

My guess was that it's a byproduct of the age of the software than runs the gallery which more or less has unchanged since LG's inception in 2005. Attaching secondary images to descriptions and images to comments probably wasn't considered when the software was originally written. Even on LG there are some features that aren't in a stock installation of Coppermine, I believe the file replacer and the extended info fields are a couple.
Ideally, for a better user experience, each post on the gallery should let you upload multiple images per gallery post and let you attach pictures to comments directly. I'm not sure if that's possible without going to a alternative gallery software, or at least with some heavy programming.
The forum runs on a different software, SMF which I believe has native support for file attachments to replies, which is why you can do it on the forum. There used to be no image upload limit, but there were issues with people uploading 20-30 images in one go and because of how LG works, would basically flood the last uploads section with only that person's uploads, so it was changed to a max of 10 per day. Ironically if LG supported multiple images per gallery post , this would be less of a problem as similar images could be grouped under the same post, without resorting to a collage.

Good point reminding two different parts of L-G run on two different softwares! I did not consider this.

The problem is that modern software uses Web 2.0 elements like Javascript, AJAX and etc, which severally slowing the browsing and are heavy on your CPU and GPU.
