So... uhh... What'd You Eat Today? « on: December 06, 2024, 03:08:56 PM » Author: suzukir122
My Sportcar is down due to a flat tire, and it's far too cold to Motorcycle ride, and I have no "daily use" average car as of now due to my original daily driving car getting totaled in a car accident... so... I've been door dashing lately while I'm home. Today as well as two days ago, I bought some EPIC food. Feel Good Thread... What'd You Eat Today? Comments with pics? ...even better. Today I bought some food from BJ's Brewhouse... a white chocolate macadamia nut Pizookie, fries, and a Hickory Brisket and Bacon cheese Burger, with pepper jack cheese. The Pizookie was not as good as the Cookies and Cream version, (oreos) but still 8 out of 10. The Burger (capitalized "B" for a reason) was an 8 out if 10 this time as well. However, a couple days ago when I bought the Burger and the Oreo Pizookie... easy 9 out of 10 for both. I am not over exaggerating when I say this: that was/is by far the best Burger I have ever had, in my entire life. That Pizookie -- the best dessert I've ever had as well, no doubt, no hesitation. The only reason why I didn't give them a 10 out of 10 is because it was all through door dash, so they weren't at their freshest, although still definitely fresh. I have not been this happy about food to this extent before, and it's well deserved. I highly recommended it. I drank some Dr.Pepper, and will probably be full for the rest of the day and night from all that food. This was good times. What'd you guys eat today? Hopefully your choice of food was healthier than mine.

The photo looks a bit dull though, and that Pizookie tastes so much better than it looks. The Burger is seriously the best Burger I've ever had,
and I've had some really tasty burgers throughout my life. Nothing compares to what I had today and two days ago.
And this is through... Doordash! I can't imagine how much better this food would be if I experienced this in restaurant.

Sorry to hear about your cars.
I usually don't eat anything too exciting, just some burgers, schnitzels and spaghetti. For breakfast I always eat some kind of cereal (Just Right at the moment).

@Baked bagel 11, regarding the cars, a new wheel and tire are on the way for my sportcar, so that's some good news, although I still won't be driving it
much since it's winter. Next goal is to save up for a daily driving/basic non-turbo 4 cylinder car, to replace the one that got totaled.
Regarding food, what did you have so far? Over here, it's night time and still Friday... I assume that in Australia it's Saturday and morning time, so you
probably had the cereal you mentioned. Schnitzels sounds delicious, based on what I see of what they are online. I've never had those before.
That's another reason why I've created this thread... for those of you who aren't in the U.S. I'm interested to know what food you've had for the day, as
it gives me an idea of other foods to try out *possibly* here in the U.S, or if I ever get the chance to travel outside of country.

ate a burger

Honestly I don't trust any restaurants from my country, I've worked on a few so I have my reasons. I've seen... things. We don't have a food safety authority, so you can imagine the things.

Homemade, minced the beef, tomato and lettuce grows at the back, the bread is also homemade but I didn't make it today so it doesn't counts as part of the cooking process of the burger, it's our own version of the unleavened baked bannock, salted and thick enough to be cut to fit the patty and vegs inside.

Perhaps it's not a burger, as a burger requires a specific type of bread... it's a meat sandwich.

@Caroline- What country are you in (if you don't mind me asking)?
@suzukir122- Pretty sure that schnitzels are German.
What sort of sports car do you have?
Oh, and you were right about it being saturday morning (1:22PM now).

@Caroline, I understand... I have also worked in restaurants. I've also seen things that are burned into my mind forever, none of which I will ever
mention in this thread. It significantly changed my perspectives for the worst. Even with exotic, expensive and well trusted restaurants, my trust
level is usually low. I prefer cooking my own meals, and will hopefully get back to doing that once I get my vehicle situation back in gear, while
keeping a sharp eye on my wallet. Doordash is expensive.
@Baked bagel 11, that's interesting. I've never tried German food before, at least not yet.
I'll be brief about it since it's off topic from this thread, but my sportcar is a Hyundai Genesis Coupe. I posted a pic of it on Lighting gallery
a little while ago, on an off topic album in my photos.

Just ordered and ate a turkey sandwich as well as pulled pork sandwich from Brent's Smokin' Butts and Grill. (Through Doordash.) The food was okay
and I've had food from them before... really nothing to be excited about. Not very filling either.

Ahh, Waffle House... Waffle House sounds so good and I truly would go there for breakfast if my level of trust regarding the employees was higher.
But someday maybe I' ll put that aside and give them a try again... it's been very long time since I`ve been to Waffle House. I prefer going there with friends though.
Today I ate Dominos Pizza, medium pepperoni pizza with Italian sausage on one haif of it, as well as three chocolate lava crunch cakes. High 7 out of 10, so definitely good!
Gotta start watching my wallet though. I tried to upload a pic, but the file size is too large.

Last time I went to Waffle House, me as well as my friends did the same, so I did get to keep an eye on the employees... everything worked out, and I remember
the food being very, very good, although it's been so long ago that I forgot what food I bought.
