I got this off Shop Goodwill, very surprised to see it there. I think this may be 1970s or 60s? When it gets here, I will give it a cleaning and hopefully get pics. It could also use a better quality photocell in my opinion than that cheap resi-grade clear one. Maybe I’ll get a tall Ripley for it.

I think it’s just an ED shape mercury vapor lamp. I rather have a BT shape lamp, more appropriate for the age, I think.

Here (to the best of my knowledge) BT lamps were fairly rare for streetlighting, we always had standard elliptical mercury lamps and low wattage HPS lamps.

Yeah the elliptical lamps seem more common in other countries than the US.
