Do you get Trick or Treater where you live?

We don’t get any here as all the houses sit far off the road and it gets really dark out here.

Our town does trick or treat the Saturday before the 31, although others do it different days. We had the downtown event on Friday.

I did see quite a few golf carts driving around last night with kids on them, so I guess some people were looking for houses to go to. I think one on the nest street gives out candy, when I was a kid we’d go over there to a few houses and then to my grandma’s. She always had those wafer like peanut butter hard candy with black stripes on them. 🎃

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.

We get lots of Trick Or Treaters in my neighborhoods,  I remember when I trick or treated once, I brought a camping lantern with black light blue lamps on in my pumpkin-

We do this - or did this - on St. Martin's day: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Martin%27s_Day

But while in the 90s and early 2000s at least a dozen kids came past our house each year, it's been dwindling to a handful at best. In the late 90s, i came home with a couple kilo of candy. I'm unsure about the reasons why fewer kids come to sing for candy. Perhaps they get enough already. I know we had a lot of cookies and chocolate at home because of where my father worked, but candy - not nearly as much. So i liked the opportunity to get all the wine gums, jawbreakers and gummies i could get my hands on.

That said, in the village where my brother lives, apparently people are now doing it for halloween, which kinda rubs me the wrong way. I don't dislike halloween or something, but i am somewhat annoyed by people who feel the need to americanize everything here.

At my complex, we don’t get very many anymore as they all moved away.

We very rarely get more than two or three. We prepare for about a dozen because you never know.

As a child, I never went trick or treating. A group of parents organized a halloween party and everyone went there instead.

All that said, I never liked halloween although I sort of pretend for my son.

We do. There's quite a bit less people/kids doing it now compared to a few years ago.
