It looks to me that the LEDway series has finally bit the dust as I can't see it on Cree's website. I hope I'm wrong.

I'm not sure if it's discontinued either, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was. All I see for new Cree installs are either the XSP series and RSW series lights.

The LEDway wasn't a good luminaire...lots of aluminum (weight), rapid lumen depreciation, premature chip failure, and awful color rendering. The surprising part was that the drivers seemed to hold up rather well.

At the end of the day, the LEDway did have an impressive production run. They even predated Cree back under Ruud along with the Edge.

I believe that the Edge is still made interestingly.

As for utilities, PG&E is the biggest installer of them, using the XSP series and RSW series lights, which the XSP they use more. SDG&E uses them too, but in much smaller amounts. They use the RSW. And they might not install them anymore either. I'm not sure.

Now that I think about it, I don't think I know of any cities that install Cree now, as it's seems all the ones that did are switching to either GE or Leotek now.

Now on the topic of LEDways, the only places I've seen that used large amounts of them are the cities of Los Angeles and Ontario. LA installed them when they were still Ruud/BetaLED but now they install Leotek GCMs. The city of Ontario installed large amounts in some of their residential areas when they were still Ruud/BetaLED as well but now they use the AEL ATBX and ATBM.

I have seen those LA LEDways, where are those utility companies that you mentioned.

Pierce County Public Works (PCPW) started installing XSPs in 2015 to replace their M-400As and RLCs, and they still install new ones as of now. TPU just did a massive install of XSPMDs that replaced most of their M-250R2s. ODOT (Oregon DOT) is installing Traveyos alongside ERL2s and RFLs. Cree is still very common, at least here in the PNW.

Don't forget the city of Vista. Back in 2011, the city replaced all their SRPs/SRXs with LEDways.

The city of Seattle also installed them way back when they were still Ruud/BetaLED, but now they install Leotek GC1s.
