It looks to me that most modern websites aren't designed to be used with the computer, but with the smartphone only. Is this true?

But on the otherhand, more and more people only uses mobile devices for web browsing especially when it comes to younger generation.

I usually use them sideways while browsing. So, the desktop design would fit.
