The hurricane hit my area pretty bad. Augusta, GA was completely out of power for a week.Trees fell on countless homes, whole power pylons were downed. There were tornadoes and the damage was extensive. We had a generator and that came in handy.

I got a bunch of "free" HID fixtures from the knockdowns that weren't going to be installed back up on the poles. I got a GE M400A in 400w HPS, Holophane RSL-200 in 175w MV, two Holophane Mongooses in 400w HPS, and a GE powerflood 1000w metal halide. (ballast was fried though) I would have scored a total of 3 Holophane mongooses if I got the one before it was taken to the recycle center.

@Robotjulep- Glad that you're safe, and that you got those nice fixtures. I hope that your community recovers well.

I'm fortunate in living in the piedmont of North Carolina. The western areas, as yall may know, got hit very very hard! I saw pictures of several places I had been to before, flooded several feet high-

Here, we had about 6 inches of rain (which is still the most I've ever seen in such a short amount of time) and some big wind gusts... Big enough to knock some trees down, closing down some big roads, and putting some people out of power.
