Hurricane « on: October 06, 2024, 04:34:14 PM » Author: Cole D.
I’m so worried about this hurricane. They’re forecasting at least a category 2-3 hurricane when it meets landfall Wednesday early morning. We’re right in the path of it.  :sadbulb:

Especially seeing the devastation from that storm that just hit all the states up north, it’s just horrible.

We did get all of the plywood on the windows this morning. And will get the smaller items put away tomorrow. I don’t know what else to do.

I’m just so sick of all these storms. Plus I don’t know how any body will afford insurance since we keep having them, now across 5 states.

We’re already getting lot of rain and wind today days ahead of the storm.

Hope you'll be safe where you are.

Since weather/storms is one of my interests, I've been 'watching' this one (by forecasts & such). It was pretty surprising just how fast the RI happened on it.

There's a side of me that would love to go down & get in that thing (hurricane chase anyone?)... in particular the eyewall (and inside the eye too), to see/feel/experience the raw power of a storm & wind like that(with a good waterproof camera too).
In reality ofcourse it'll never happen...

Thank you. My stomach has been in knots since last night. I’ve been sitting outside trying to get some fresh air and relax before the storm comes tonight and I’m stuck inside.

We’re having tornado warnings all over from the rotation, in the outer bands of the storm. Saw a photo of one on I75 And even down toward Miami!

I saw that on Tornado HQ. At least most of them are radar indicated.

There is a large tornado in Vero Beach. If you’re in that area, take cover immediately!

Thanks. So far for me, we’ve been fine. It’s getting gusty now though. We had some heavy downpours this afternoon, then around 4 it stopped raining at all for about an hour.

South of me one of the tornadoes spawned and tore up some mobile homes in a park. Thankfully just one minor injury from it.

It definitely looks rough to the west coast though. Fortunately the tornado warnings seem to subsided.

There's multiple guys livestreaming on YouTube from right down in the general area where the eye is coming ashore. I'm watching a few now...

Saw multiple tornado warnings when I looked at radar down there this afternoon..
