Any tips on how to restore old lightbulb box? « on: September 11, 2024, 04:40:38 AM » Author: LightbulbManiac
Yesterday, I traded with one of my friends some lightbulbs, and one of them that I have received, is incredibly rare (to me), from the 40s. The box is very tatty from bad storage (it has crease marks, and the flaps are so ripped to the point of just flopping around from a tiny fuse in the paper.) So far I've heard of ironing the box (with a parchment paper on top) or leaving the box in water so it absorbs as much as possible and then placing it in a flat surface and putting another flat surface on top, and adding weights to it and waiting until it dries. How can I repair the tears or remove the crease marks, do you guys have any suggestions or tips?
