I bought a box of spotlights last week and one of them came with an interesting faulty lamp, it's a 12 volt MR16 with a faulty capsule and part of the filter glass that looks like if it's just been in a freezer.

Is this a capsule gas leak? it hasn't been exposed to cold and if I turn it on it'll be super dim and with a green-ish tint. The stain in the UV filter glass is always in the same spot.

Any ideas on what it could be? it's interesting. As far as I know it hasn't been used until I bought it. No brand it simply says 12V50.

It could be the capsule leaked and theescaped halogen corroded the UV filter in the outer...
