Out of curiosity, I wonder if there were any street lighting luminaires made for the North American market that were designed for use with 1000W H34 mercury vapor lamps in mild climates?
In that case, I wonder if very early versions of North American 1000W mercury vapor luminaires such as the GE M1000, Westinghouse OV50, Revere 2700, Westinghouse OV35 were made in 1000W H34 mercury vapor variants for use in mild climates like Southern California, USA; Southern Arizona, USA; Southern New Mexico, USA; Distrito Federal, Mexico; Oaxaca, Mexico; etc where the ambient temperature is usually above 50 degrees fahrenheit.
So far, I have known about one member making a thread about 1000W H34 mercury vapor gas station canopy fixtures, which would have obviously been outdoors when they were in service, but it would be interesting to know if 1000W H34 mercury vapor cobrahead luminaires were even made.
