I think there was a lot of dilemma stemming from the "Amazon search bar" that was built into earlier versions of Ubuntu.
That has long since been removed.

I remember very old browsers had an ebay and some sites like Facebook or news sites as buttons that you couldn't delete.

i am currently in hospital for no apparent reason, they let me have my laptop though.  the nurses here wear them, but they have this interesting flashey LED thingy that flashes when the lights go out (most of the lights are on the grid and not the emergency backup). seems like they're controled by some wireless thingamobob. they are cool, but i would never want to walk around with a lithium iron battery on my head, you know, incase something triggers thermal runaway in it. anyways, i use an HP laptop with windows 10. (as much as i hate it) i ame using google chrome as my brouser and i usually use a wired connection. there are no wired connections available where i currently reside. but there is WIFI, shouldn't be the opposite way round?

double D and Pl=nostalgia. i love exploring abandoned places with power. and remember, if you kill a spider, you will make it rain. (just please don't show me pics of dead spiders, or i will scream and yeet my computer, i hate the uncanny bent legs.) LED's are the diesel loco's of the lighting world
