Suspicion that several of the chinese junks (Lamps, etc) in Israel are smuggled « on: June 16, 2010, 03:05:08 PM » Author: dor123
When i googled about SUNLIGHT lamps that are manufactured for the Osram israeli importer Nisko, i found two articles from 2005, one from Ynet and one from TheMarker (Both are israelis newspapers), about chinese electric equipment (Includes lamps), that are marketed in electricity stores (Including ACE), that didn't pass the israelis standards and are probably piratical.
The lamps that smuggled to Israel in that year are the following:
1. A 7W incandescent lamp for nightlights with an E12 base made by HAINING YANIING ZHEJIANG CHINA (marketed also on ACE Israel).
2. A 60W incandescent lamp with an E27 base that are branded SUNLIGHT and are manufactured for Nisko, Israel. Its package contains no details.
Another things that aren't lamps includes a 60W LUXTEN transformer that the israelis plugs can be connected into it despite the outlet voltage is 110V.
What do you think?
Perhaps most of the chinese junks that are imported to the US are also piratical.
