Got my shipping confirmation today ! Only thing I'm scared of is that it's coming FeDex !! 

Mine was shipped out earlier this week, IIRC I had the option to choose between UPS or FedEx.

 My order details don't say which I chose but I thought I picked UPS .  I have had sellers substitute one shipper for another before though .

I have never had any bad experiences with FedEx myself, but apparently the guy packs them well, so it SHOULD arrive in one piece.

Is there anyone actually driving down there with a large van or something?

 @ HIDLad001 :  A majority of my items that arrived as confetti were shipped by SmashEx ! Out of the 3 major carriers , FedUp is the worst for items arriving in pieces !  UPS is by far the slowest ! I'll stick with the good old USPS .

How many items have arrived damaged? I personally have had none arrive damaged, but that's probably because I refrain from buying lighting things off of eBay as much as possible.

USPS is my favorite shipper for receiving packages from the US. Unlike UPS and FedEx, they charge a reasonable for any applicable customs fees.

 The only time I've received anything damaged from USPS was when the seller did a crappy packing job to begin with !

I ordered some lights off Ebay that were in Virginia and UPS got them here the next day.

 @ HIDLad : My tracking has been frozen since DEC.29 . It shows it's still in Bloomington Ca.

 @ Metal Halide Boy :  Normal UPS is usually fine . It's UPS Mail Innovations to be weary of !

 UPDATE : Mine arrived today !! It arrived completely intact !  It does look like it was just about to be scrapped as the ballast is loose and the P/C socket is not attached but just laying inside . Either way  , I gave it a quick look over and tested it , works perfectly ! It does need a REALLY good cleaning as it's completely FILTHY !!

 Just a few things I found weird about this light , 1) the lamp seems to actually point slightly downward when installed (the base is about 1/4-3/8" higher than the crown of the lamp)  2) the hole going from the slipfitter to the ballast compartment is TINY !!  Maybe 3/4" .

 These were probably a pain in the butt to install because of the tiny wire hole !
