Are T12s generally avaiable in Sweden or do you have to order them. In Finland, only avaiable color for T12 is CW. even wholesale companys have only CW T12 lamps left. and some electric hardware store dont have T12 at stock at all. so its pretty rare in here.

You have to order them and most stores only have CW, but I know one place that have daylight but they are expensive. I have never seen T12 for sale anywhere except on the Internet.

Yes, T12s are set to go in 2012 in Europe so I too will be stocking up.

Something I want to know is will this effect 8ft 100W krypton filled energy saving tube too because there is no T8 retrofit for 8ft?

Here there is a 8 foot slimline T8 (replaces the standard 75w T12 slimline) but I rarely seem them used.
There is also a high output 8 foot T8 (to replace HO 110w T8) but I've never seen one.
You bring up a good point though...i'm wondering about the 8 foot's here now as well - for when the bulb bans go into effect in 2012 (I might have to get some spares if that is the case)

In both cases i believe you must also change out the ballast for an electronic...

LOL i've never tried putting one of those 8 T8 foot slimline's in a T12 fixture to see if it'd light
